Locking/Unlocking the car

You can use the app, a Vehicle Access Card, or the physical car key to lock and unlock our cars.

❗ Important: After starting your booking and driving to your destination, always use the same method to unlock as you did to lock the car.

For example:

📲 if you lock the car during your booking using the app, you must use the app again to unlock the car when you return later.

🔑 if you lock the car during your booking using the physical car key, you must use the physical car key again to unlock the car when you return later.

👉 If you locked the car using the app, and then unlocked the car using the physical car key, you need to unlock the car again using the app.

❓ This is because locking the car via the app disables the immobiliser, and prevents the engine from being turned on. Using the physical car key later, does not enable the immobiliser.

🔓 Unlock

1️⃣ Start your booking using the “Start usage” button and then tap/click "Unlock" to unlock the car.

2️⃣ During your booking, take the physical car key located in the glovebox. Some car's key can look like a small, plastic, rectangular remote.

👉 Use this key to lock and unlock the vehicle as needed.

❗ This ensures that you can always access the vehicle, even in areas with poor signal.

🔒 Lock

1️⃣ Ensure all the doors are shut properly, and the engine is off, and return the physical key to the glovebox.

2️⃣ Tap/click the red "Lock" button on the app.

🪪 With your Vehicle Access Card (VAC)

This only applies if you have requested a VAC from us, by emailing support@trydani.org

🔓 Unlock

1️⃣ Tap your Vehicle Access Card on the card reader, under the passenger side windscreen.

🔒 Lock

1️⃣ Ensure all the doors are shut properly, and the engine is off, and return the physical key to the glovebox.

2️⃣ Tap your Vehicle Access Card on the card reader, under the passenger side windscreen.
